JACK TONE RANCH

HISTORICAL FOUNDATION

A Private Non-Profit Foundation

5th Annual Foundation Celebration * Largest Ever!

We are forever grateful for our wonderful supporters at our 5th Annual Historical Foundation, which took place in October.  We had so many generous donors and volunteers that have deeply touched our hearts.  Our mission is to always provide historical value to our community, and our goal is becoming a true reality.  Thanks to all who had participated in the past and to those who continue to support our Foundation.

There were some exciting moments in the evening that we won’t forget!  Some of the highlights were:  the bidding war for the prized “Tractor” piece from Master Pastel Medium Artist, Gil Dellinger and World Renown, Ning Hou’s  piece of the “Hay in the Field”.  Special note of interest:  Ning Hou painted a full-size masterpiece of our very own Jack Tone Ranch’s round-pen beautifully displayed at the Stockton’s Sheraton!  Once again, our own family celebrity, Pat Behlen’s piece went for several hundreds! Our very own employee, Juan, brought his 15+  member band that played upbeat Mexican  tunes during the Charro equine exhibition.  Lastly, congratulations to Kathy Johnson for winning the Hammer’s 2 Year old filly, “Heiress” and then, purchasing a great weanling colt from the Ranch!

Over 400 Friends and Family Celebrating a Movie Classic!

Thank you to all that attended the Fox Theater’s Sunday event, featuring  “The Black Stallion”.  Our family is incredibly honored to be asked to share our contributions to the movie, especially the stories of our horse, FaeJur, one of four horses playing the Stallion!  It was wonderful to meet with the 400+ guests enjoying the eloquent yet simple movie about a boy and a horse.

It was truly an touching moment to have four generations of the Tone family present to re-live some fond  movie-making memories.  Thank you to Francis Ford Coppola,  Director Carroll Ballard, The Stockton Record, and the Fox Theater in providing a great family movie and event in our area that we will never forget!
